I am 35 years old, living with stage IV Endometriosis, possibly adenomyosis and struggled with infertility for almost 4 years. I also struggled with PPD and now struggle with PMDD. I am a mother to a son that was born at 18 weeks and too precious for this earth; and now a mother to a son born in August 2011. By journaling here, I hope to benefit both for myself and for others that are dealing with this disease and fertility struggles. Thanks for visiting!

Not sure why I was looking forward to this...

Is it over yet? Cause damn, the crampy pain is brutal. Its not full throttle stab pain, but, that constant, horrid cramping that is endo sometimes. Can't sleep right now. If the pain meds were every 6 hours, I think I'd be fine. Calling tomorrow to see what I can take between each ibuprofen mega pill. Hopefully the worst has passed? My back even is sore this time. That never usually happens. Icky!!! My heating pad isn't long enough!

Shoot, I'm on those steroids too! That might better explain why I'm still up. Son of a gun!

Ugh, I'm so sorry you are in so much pain. My early m/c was the same way... I had to stay home for a few days while my body did its thing b/c there were times I seriously thought I was going to pass out... SO painful! :( The worst of it only lasted about 2 days, so hopefully (if that's the case with you) you'll be getting relief soon as well! ((hugs))

Giant ibuprofen has never worked for me! Can you get some good drugs instead - like Perc?
Or you could sit in a really hot bath for a couple hours with a shot of whiskey :). That is my hubby's idea of a solution to cramps.

when i was in high school (probably when the endo started) my GP gave me some kick ass pain meds. i can't remember what it was though. i find extra strength a.dvil helps me, but i have to take WAY over the recommended dose for it to help.

i hope you feel better soon!

I'm sorry you are experiencing so much pain right now. I hope you can get the thumbs up for supplemental drugs from your dr!

let me know what they give you, i haven't found anything that works. ibuprofen helps take the edge off but not enough and vicodin doesn't do shit, seriously, i don't even know why people take tylenol, it's like swallowing air.
