I am 35 years old, living with stage IV Endometriosis, possibly adenomyosis and struggled with infertility for almost 4 years. I also struggled with PPD and now struggle with PMDD. I am a mother to a son that was born at 18 weeks and too precious for this earth; and now a mother to a son born in August 2011. By journaling here, I hope to benefit both for myself and for others that are dealing with this disease and fertility struggles. Thanks for visiting!

In sickness and in health...

This week marks our 3rd wedding anniversary. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful partner in my life. He's my rock. I could have never made it through all I have without him. His my support. "In sickness and in health...". I never knew that this phrase would be such a huge part of our lives so early on in our marriage. ~1 year into the marriage began my wild ride with endometriosis. He was there with me through every pain, every ER visit, every scan, every surgery. Together we walk hand and hand into this journey of life and our lives have been tested a lot these past three years. He remains my rock and my love as we begin this new journey of parenthood together. I really am blessed to have such a wonderful husband. I love him.

Happy Anniversary! My hubby and I just celebrated our 9th anniversary this past Wed. Thankfully, they released me from the hospital so I didn't have to be in there the entire day. But I still wasn't up to celebrating. Hoping you guys got to do something fun?

Oh Happy Anniversary!! What a beautiful post... as Tim and I get into planning our wedding I know that "in sickness and in health" is a vow I don't even need to hear him say as he has already proven himself far beyond words this past year and a bit - what would we do without the men in our lives?

Hope you're feeling a bit less yucky with the nausea and things? Keeping you in my prayers!! xx

Thanks everyone! :)

Been feeling okay. Actually, my nausea has increased as I approach my 15th week. I have no idea why. But, I know it could be worse.

I've also had some right ovary pain. Either my endometrioma had come back before the pregnancy hormones kicked in, or, there is some excess fluid there. It feels like the baby is constantly kicking my ovary today. Although I know that's not happening...it's the easiest way to describe it.

I have another appt next week. I'm assuming she'll re-asses the hematoma seeing as how I have continued to bleed/spot since my last apt.

I'm so sorry about your recent struggles endo!!! :( We will hopefully be celebrating at the Ritz carlton on Friday evening enjoying room service and free fussy robes. LOL. We'll see though. We may actually have company come in town.

Allison,

You two have been through a great deal in 3 years. Even those with diagnoses made before the wedding day often are clueless how much those words "in sickness and in health" would mean. I know I never dreamed I would get so much sicker than I already was before we got married in 1998. Here we are 11 years (and several more diagnoses) later. Happy Anniversary!

Oh happy anniversary! I know first hand how important a supportive husband is! The ones that can be "endo hubbies" are a rare and true gift!

Happy Belated Anniversary! I have been thinking lately alot about "in sickness and in health". My husband's journey with me and endo began before our "I do" and actually, in some weird way, brought a closeness that led to our marriage becoming what it is. We are not yet at our one year anniversary date (new years eve) and I just had my second lap within a year--ugg. I appreciate his support every day...especially the last few days as I am semi-immobilized and he is both my rock and occassionally my walker :). I have been writing about my present experience of endo more and more over at my blog http://myembodiment.wordpress.com if you ever want to stop by.

So glad to have stumbled across your blog and your endo journey and so happy for your growing family!

Happy anniversary! My husband and I just celebrated 5 years in September. We too are truly learning about "in sickness and in health" as I was diagnosed last October with endo after a year and a half of trying/suspecting something wasn't right. Thank you for sharing your story...you give me hope in moving forward. Best wishes to you...I will keep you in my thoughts!
